Music in Worship

The Christ Church Musical Tradition

Our music on Sunday mornings is a wonderful expression of the creative talents of those in our parish family who are musicians – with their voices and on a variety of instruments. A 3-manual, 52-rank Gress-Miles pipe organ provides a marvelous foundation to the choral excellence of our choir and the strong congregational singing tradition at Christ Church.  But don’t be surprised if you also hear a string quartet, a flute, an oboe, a clarinet, or even a jazz saxophone!

The Christ Church Choir

The Christ Church Choir sings at church services on a weekly basis September through June. Members come from a wide spectrum of musical backgrounds, but all enjoy the challenges and rewards that result from immersion in the church choral tradition. The choir also sings for concerts and special services throughout the year.
We rehearse Wednesday evenings, 7:30-8:30 PM and Sunday mornings before the Eucharist.  If you are interested in joining the choir, please email James Fitzwilliam or the church office.
